Many foreign passports do not carry the RFID chip that automatic gates read, so the gate cannot match you to your e-ticket. Staffed lanes read it manually.

- Find the staffed lane (人工通道); almost every station has one.
- Show your passport and the e-ticket QR code in your app.
- Arrive 10-15 minutes earlier to clear the manual lane.

If nothing works
If the manual lane is closed or you are in a hurry:
- Ask any uniformed staff member to scan you through.
- Try the gate again after rotating the passport or using a different page.
- Allow extra time next trip and locate the manual lane on arrival.
